The streets up there are still paved with gold!

streetpavedwithgoldMany earthly institutions have replaced grants with loans. The reason being the money is simply not there to give away, even if in many cases that money is, in effect, an investment. However Heaven does not have a deficit, Heaven is not having a financial crisis, Heaven still has an abundance – the streets up there are still paved with gold! “That’s all very well Matthew, but I can’t just ask God for a grant!“. Why not? Jesus said you could! Look at Mark 11:24 & John 16:23 from the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition, “For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]“/ “When that time comes, you will ask nothing of Me [you will need to ask Me no questions]. I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that My Father will grant you whatever you ask in My Name“.

If your motive for asking for something from God is selfish, you are not going to get it.

I know what some you are thinking, “Well we can’t ask God for just anything…..“. However I have an answer for that: James 4:3 in the New Life Version says, “If you do ask, you do not receive because your reasons for asking are wrong. You want these things only to please yourselves“. If your motive for asking for something from God is selfish, you are not going to get it. However, if you are walking daily with God, spending regular time in prayer and in the Word, your motives will not be selfish. You will know the will of God, and you will only be asking for what He has already promised you.

If you income is not going as far as you’d like it to, apply for a grant.

For example, in Philippians 4:19 God promised to meet our needs, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus“, and in 2 Corinthians 9:8 from the Good News Translation it says, “God is able to give you more than you need, so that you will always have all you need for yourselves and more than enough for every good cause“. Having enough to meet your own needs is great, but if that’s all you’re believing for then its kind of selfish. If your money only stretches to meet your own needs, there will not be enough for the needs of others. That is why verses like 2 Corinthians 9:8 are important. As Christians we should be living in a place of abundance, not for selfish reasons, but so that we can be generous.  So if your income is not going as far as you’d like it to – apply for a grant. I will explain how to do this below, but first let me emphasise that I am saying this with a foundation of tithing and regular giving firmly in place.

Everything in the Kingdom of God works by faith.

The first thing that you need to know, is that you cannot just randomly ask God for things and expect them to come to pass. Everything in the Kingdom of God works by faith and you need to have something to base your faith upon. The various verses which I quoted above are some examples. Secondly, find someone who will come into agreement with you on this. The best person is your spouse, but if not then maybe a faith-filled Christian friend, your pastor, or another leader from your church. Just make sure it is someone who has faith to believe for things. Thirdly, the devil does not want you have plenty of money to invest in God’s work, so you need to take authority over him using verses like Matthew 18:18, “Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven“. Finally, speaking of the angels, Hebrews 1:14 says, “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?“. Charge the angels to go and bring in what you are requesting of God. Here then is an example of how to apply for a heavenly grant :

Father, in the Name of Jesus, according to John 14:13, Amp CE (“I Myself will grant whatever you ask in My Name”), we request a monthly grant of _________. We desire to have this money on a monthly basis.

We come into agreement on this according to Matthew 18:19 (“If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven”).

Satan, in the Name of Jesus, according to Luke 10:19, Amp CE (“Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power that the enemy possesses; and nothing shall in any way harm you”), we bind your operation and render you helpless. We command you to take your hands off of our money.

Angels, Hebrews 1:14, Amp CE says, “Are not the angels all ministering spirits sent out in the service of God for the assistance of those who are to inherit salvation. So we charge you to assist us by bringing us this monthly grant.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Once you have written and prayed over your petition, sign and date it. You can, of course, change this petition so that it is personalised for you. What I have done is given you a general format, but the verses / Bible versions can be changed as you see fit. Once you have your petition, I would advise carrying it with you and reading it regularly. Any time Satan attempts to put thoughts of doubt or worry in your mind, you can say, “No Satan, it is written…..“. Let me remind you that are not asking for something you have no right to ask for, you are asking for what God has already said you can have. Therefore this petition is your contract with God, and so if you put your faith behind it, God will honour it. And if, in the future, the amount you require changes, simply alter the amount on the petition. Or you can write out a new one.
